Happiness
What exactly is happiness?!
Happiness is hard to describe. Because not only do most of us feel happiness differently, but we also express it differently. Some find joy in achievements, some find it by partying, while others find joy at their home. It's really hard to put it into one definition or even one specific category.
But to sum it up, it's when we feel joy and excitement in our lives. It's not something we can feel logically, happiness is hugely dependent on our emotions.
Can we all feel happy?
Well, yes. Happiness is something every human can feel to a certain extent. While the extent may vary on a lot of factors such as genetics, neurological health, brain & organ health, etc. But regardless, we all feel happiness in our capacities. Almost every living being with a brain feels happiness. When animals are happy; you can look at their behavior and body-language, it's pretty similar for humans. Except humans can verbalize their emotions and make it known.
Your mental health issues, or any illnesses can cause issues on your capacity to feel happy, but there is no way that you can never feel happy again.
How do we feel 'happy'?
I'm not going to give you a concrete answer. because there is no one-solution-for-all. Anyone who tells you how to feel happy; is just expressing how they perceive happiness, and will not work for a lot of people.
Instead, I'll help you in the process of self-awareness and knowledge; which you can then use to find your own happiness. Because Getting Ahead means being able to find answers on your own, and with technology improving so much; it's easier than ever.
What happens when we don't develop good habits to express happiness?
Enhancing your knowledge, thoughts, and actions are necessary for us to have good emotional regulation. When we don't develop these things we have: more frequent mood changes, more spontaneous outbursts, lower productivity, and poorer quality of thoughts. However, once we become proficient in it; our stress levels stay lower, our anxiety and fears stay in control, thus we have higher chances of feeling happier. Happiness is directly co-related to other emotions, in fact every emotion is related to each other.
That is why, developing emotional intelligence and learning about it will help us in the journey of Getting Ahead, and we'll be able to have a strong command over our emotions, and propel our quality of life in both personal and professional aspects.
Let's Get Ahead!
